Finalisation of foreign declarations that are to be granted exit from Denmark

The Danish Customs Agency is currently facing challenges when it comes to finalising some of the foreign declarations in the DMS Eksport system, which are to be granted exit from Denmark.  

The Danish Customs Agency is therefore finalising the declarations manually, while working on a permanent solution to prevent the problem from occurring in the future. 

If you are contacted by customs authorities in the EU 

If you are contacted by a customs authority in the EU with a request for exit documentation, we encourage you to send alternative documentation to the customs authority showing that exit has taken place. This will enable the customs authority to finalise the declaration. 

We also encourage you to forward the enquiry from the customs authority to the Danish Customs Agency’s email address export-request@toldst.dk. It is important that the export MRN number is stated in the enquiry. If the relevant EU customs authority is unable to finalise the declaration, the Danish Customs Agency can help with the processing of the case. The Danish Customs Agency gives priority to declarations which are approaching the deadline for exit. 

The Danish Customs Agency is in an ongoing dialogue with the European Commission and other EU customs authorities about the problem.
