If you are sending large amounts of valuables

You do not have to declare large amounts of cash or other monetary instruments that are sent to and from Denmark by, for example, mail or courier. This applies regardless of the amount.

If you send monetary instruments with commercial carriers, for example by post, freight or courier, you do not have to declare the amount to the Danish Customs Agency. However, if the Customs Agency finds your monetary instruments in connection with a customs check, we may require you to fill in a declaration form within 30 days.

The declaration form must contain all the necessary information and be sent to us within the deadline. Otherwise, you risk being fined.
